We really loved the concept, the bed was very comfy. We also had the spa which was a lovely touch and netflix on the tablet was a winner.

I think the biggest things that make this a 3.5 for us, were the check in process – no identifiable note in confirmation that we could see or markers differentiating the vans to identify where you’re staying so we had to kind of look around for the one with the spa and try our key and hope for the best. Thankfully no one else was there. The ‘clue’ for the door was lost on us, so it took 20 minutes to work out and actually get upstairs.

For a sunday night or mid week stay, the $440 was really steep, but as an anniversary gift and once off it was a nice treat, not one we could afford again.

The accomodations are very simple but thats kind of the appeal too. We were warm and comfortable.

The cafe downstairs was closed on sunday which is a downside, as there was no coffee making facility in the van or on the roof top. When many of the restaurants were closed when we came back, we didnt have much alternative but to visit Crown for dinner, and while lovely, We were grateful that the weather held off for us.

Its centrally located and parking underneath was very convenient. Would reccomend this as an experience.

Took my boyfriend for our 5th anniversary, stayed in the airstream with benefits, and the hot tub was worth the extra $45. Great novelty, but could have been improved by a few things:
– having an emergency phone in the stairwell or communal deck, in case you get locked out. While they do provide a number to call in case of emergency, having our phones locked inside the van required us to go down to the street and ask a stranger for help, using obstacles to keep the doors open so we could get back up.
– some more general upkeep for the vans themselves: in ours particularly, the windows were difficult to open and shut and there were a few cracks here and there, such as the broken iPad mount.
– detailing during booking what amenities and services were included, plus when garage and/or reception was unavailable

But despite these slight issues:
– great bedding, so soft and great quality
– fantastic heating and cooling
– LOVE the shower head, great pressure, felt amazing!
– great mini bar to snack while watching Netflix in bed!
– and the abundance of mirrors and power plugs!

Thank you!

After following the progress of Notel for many months, finally we had our chance to stay after booking the Airsteam with Benefits package, The mystery started at the roller door and once we finally arrived at our trailer it was every thing to be expected and some.
Tracy and I also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with James on Saturday afternoon.
To say it different is an understatement, it is a Fantastic place to stay great view of the Iconic Eureka Tower and the sunset on the tower just added to the experience James and his team have made something so simple work so well and it deserves a 10-STAR Rating

Mystery of trying to get in only adds to the intrigue and it is so worth it once you make it. The vans themselves are quite beautiful and very comfortable and well appointed. Maybe a little difficult getting in and out of bed but what a great bed together with lovely linen. Bathroom is roomy and shower is great. Had chance to speak to Ellen who was filling our mini bar. Sadly the drinks were not cold. But James arrived for a chat and when we mentioned the drinks he arrived back with as much cold beer and sparkling as we desired. Lovely to chat with him about his vision and how it all came together. Spent a very comfortable time at Notel and definitely recommend. Also, we asked Ellen to arrange for rain that night which she did – lying in your comfortable bed listening to the rain falling on the trailer roof topped it all off.

So glad I finally got to stay here! Such a great experience and makes a great Insta pic ;)!!! Apart from the clip thing on the ceiling that holds the iPad up being broken my stay has been quite pleasant. The shower pressure is amazing btw. Thanks Notel πŸ’˜πŸŒ΅

James helped us book in to a booked out garden state for dinner that had lines down the road which was a nice little VIP experience to add to the already awesome time we were having. Highly recommeneded! ☺️ Thanks Notel for exisiting and being so awesome. Xx

Was a fantastic experience for our joint bday celebrations. Great to have parking directly underneath accommodation and to experience something unique was brilliant. The bed and shower was amazing. My only disappointment was to not have any Colonial beer in the complimentary beer fridge as had my mind set on that after reading the website. All the other added extras were spot on. Great idea for something different in downtown Melbourne.

Good fun place to stay in the city! Booked the one with the spa, accommodation is modern and clean, there’s a few drinks and snacks free of charge which is good for a couple of drinks before dinner and there’s plenty to do in the immediate area if you fancy a couple more! Thought the iPad suspended from the ceiling with free movies was a nice touch and good to chill out watching on the comfy bed when you get home that night! Would recommend.
